Online Meetings 

The World Service Office maintains a list of registered online meetings.  Click on the link below to access a list of telephone and Skype meetings around the world.
 
 
To be registered with the WSO, OA meetings must fulfill the definition of an OA group, which means they meet to practice the Twelve Steps and Traditions of OA, welcome all who have the desire to stop eating compulsively, do not require members to practice any actions to remain a member or to share at a meeting, and as a group they have no affiliation other than OA.
 

Skype for Melbourne Intergroup Meetings and Events

OA members can now dial into selected intergroup meetings and events using Skype.   Events will be displayed here if there are Skype sessions available.

Connect to Melbourne Intergroup Skype

Below are instructions on how to connect with Melbourne Intergroup on Skype.
 
1)    Send Request
Search for contacts on Skype using the name or email below.
Email: oa.melb@gmail.com 
Name: OA Melbourne Intergroup
Send a chat message through Skype asking to join the specific meeting, e.g. “I would like to join the 7:30pm Windsor meeting today”.
 
Please note that you will need to send a chat message each time you wish to join a meeting.  The intergroup host will not connect you to the meeting unless you ask.
 
2)    Accepting the meeting call
The Intergroup Skype account will add you to the Skype call when the meeting begins.   
 
Please note that Intergroup will be hosting the main Skype meeting and will need to add individuals to the call.  Please do not call Intergroup through Skype as this can cause technical issues with people not being in the same call.  Instead send a chat message requesting that they add you to the meeting.  
If you drop out of the meeting look for a button called “Join Call” which will reconnect you. 
 
3)    Participating in meetings
It is recommended that you keep your microphone on mute unless you are speaking.  This prevents unwanted background noise from all the participants.
